Elvis Asangbeng Tanue, PhD Dr. Tanue is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Public Health and Hygiene at the Faculty of Health Sciences in the University of Buea. He possesses over ten years of research experience in the fields of public health, data analysis, and implementation science. He has successfully managed several research projects for a wide range of agencies and has held research and statistical consultancy positions for international NGOs. Dr. Tanue has successfully supervised 10 Masters students through their research projects. He has co-authored a book chapter and published over 20 research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr Tanue has mentored 4 early career researchers to write and win research grants and served as their direct supervisor in the implementation of the projects. He is currently serving as a reviewer for several journals and an editorial board member for Austin Public Health. Dr. Tanue is a post-doctoral fellow at STREaM Cameroon. Research interests: Biostatistics, Implementation Science, Epidemiology, Public Health.
Serge Ngekeng, PhD Serge Ngekeng has a PhD in public health from the Department of Public Health and Hygiene, University of Buea, where he currently serves as an associate lecturer. He is passionate about the improvement of health care delivery systems in Cameroon and Africa as a whole. As a STREaM fellow he is excited to participate in research and interventions that will reduce the burden of trauma in Cameroon. Owing to the vital role data plays in directing public health action he looks forward to increase expertise in quantitative research data analysis in order to bridge the wide trauma related data gap in the setting. He has previously worked in the areas of continuous quality improvement and mentorship of laboratory programs under PEPFAR funded HIV program in Cameroon. His research interests are in the exploitation of secondary data sources for evidence based public health interventions.
