Longmire

One of the leading surgeons of the 20th Century, Dr. Longmire was founding Professor and Chairman of the UCLA Department of Surgery from 1948 to 1976 and an active member of the Department until the time of his death in 2003. The Society was established by Dr. Longmire's Chief Residents to honor his life and career. Membership is open to all surgical residents and fellows who have trained at UCLA and/or served on the UCLA faculty. The Society sponsors an annual Visiting Professorshipand Scientific Day at UCLA.
