As a CASIT education fellow, you get to collaborate with educators in surgery and the UCLA simulation center staff to work on a variety of different projects. Some of these include evaluating new methods of clinical reasoning assessments for general surgery residents and redesigning quality improvement and patient safety curricula for physician trainees. There are opportunities to attend and lead workshops at the UCLA simulation laboratory and present your work at simulation summit conferences. In addition, you are paired with mentors who will support you in designing and executing creative projects of your own.

Under the leadership of Drs. Catherine Lewis, Warwick Peacock, Grace Change, and Areti Tillou, novel practical training curricula have been evaluated and disseminated in peer-reviewed articles.
