For the past decade, the UCLA Bariatric Program has changed lives of thousands of patients and their loved ones every day. The vast majority of our patients felt that having weight loss surgery was one of the best decisions they ever made in their lives. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of care in the Southern California community and beyond. With an emphasis on minimally invasive surgical techniques and long-term support, our program has built a strong relationship and goodwill with our patients, their families, and the greater community.
The Bariatric Program depends heavily on private donations. Private contributions are critical to our patient education program, support group, outreach effort, long-term care for our patients and cutting-edge research.
Advance our mission to bring together expertise in bariatric surgery, medical weight loss, hepatology, psychology, and nutrition to offer the highest level of patient care available worldwide. Your contribution will help ensure that we can continue our commitment to providing state-of-the-art patient care through multi- and interdisciplinary collaboration and consultation offered in technologically advanced facilities.
Investigate and develop cutting-edge discoveries in clinical and basic science to better treat obesity in the future.
Reach out to the general public to educate them about the safety and efficacy of bariatric surgery. Currently, less than 1% of the eligible obese patients nationwide and at UCLA had bariatric surgery last year. We are committed to change the bias and stigma against obesity and bariatric surgery.
You can designate your support to your favorite doctor, research, patient care, or educational programs.
