We highly encourage all of our patients to continue attending support groups during their journey to have the most success after surgery. Support groups will give you the opportunity to discuss your experiences with weight loss surgery.
How You Can Help: Your contribution will help ensure that we can continue our commitment to providing state-of-the-art bariatric patient care.
Support Our Work >
Support groups are held in a safe atmosphere to share any individual issues or concerns regarding weight, diet, and exercise and are exclusive to our post-operative patients. Participating in support groups enables you to stay highly motivated through sharing and supporting information from your peers. Topics may include nutrition, exercise, weight loss, vitamin supplementation, emotional eating, protein intake, self esteem, trigger foods, reading labels, mindful eating, and fluid consumption.
Our support groups range in topic from featured experts that are highly involved in bariatrics, or moderated open forums by our registered dietitians. Discussions will follow after our speakers for approximately 60-90 minutes. Due to our responsibility of patient care and privacy, one member from our team must accompany you in the support group meetings at all times. Please review the calendar for the scheduled times, topic and room location.
